Johnston, Dail Combine for 45 Points as Beavers Defeat Medgar Evers 68-60

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Paul Dail was shooting lights out all evening, going 7-of-12 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line to finish with a career-high 22 points and Terence Johnston posted his first 20-point game since Feb. 4 of last year as the City College of New York defeated Medgar Evers College, 68-60, on Friday evening at the Cougars Cave.

Dail added nine assists and tied his career mark with seven steals while Johnston's finished with a game-high 23 points and tied his season-high of five steals as CCNY picked up 14 swipes and forced 27 turnovers in their second consecutive victory. Tonight's win improves their mark to 7-11 overall and 3-7 in conference action while MEC falls to 8-11 on the year and 4-6 in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play.

The victory marks the first time since the 2009-10 season that CCNY picks up back-to-back conference wins.

Winston Douglas and Jovan Deare finished with 22 points and 20 points, respectively, to pace the Cougars.

The Beavers return to Nat Holman Gymnasium to host Baruch College, who is undefeated in CUNYAC play, on Monday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.
