Senior Wes Nordquist (Adel, Iowa/ADM) turned in a game-high 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while fellow senior Troy Ticknor (Adel, Iowa/ADM) followed with 12, but it was Luther College (11-4, 4-0 IIAC) getting a late bucket to force overtime and then outscoring BVU 13-7 in the extra period en route to the 62-56 victory.  The loss snaps the Beavers' 10-game overall win streak.

Ticknor, who made just 1-of-9 attempts from downtown in the contest, scored three points the unconventional way at the free-throw line when he was fouled with 46 seconds left.  Luther then got a bucket with 31 seconds left to even things up at 49-49, and the Beavers were unable to get a shot off at the end of regulation.

A pair of Nordquist free-throws seconds into the overtime period gave BVU a 51-49 advantage, and after the Norse ran off four straight points, he tied things back up at 53-53 with a nice spin move for a jumper in the paint.

In a game that saw 13 lead changes, Luther regained the lead and scored nine of the final 12 points for the six-point win.  That margin was its largest lead of the contest.

Neither team led by more than five points in the contest with Luther clinging to a 23-22 halftime lead.

Nordquist's double-double was his ninth of the year, as he also surpassed 1,400 career points and moves into second-place on the program's all-time rebounding list with 781.

Ticknor now has 155 career three-point buckets, moving him within one of Jeff Janssen (2009-12) for sixth on BVU's all-time list.

As a team, BVU made just 35 percent of its attempts from the field, including a 2-of-14 performance from downtown.

It was the second-straight overtime game for the Beavers after they notched a thrilling 70-68 victory at Dubuque on Saturday.

BVU is now 11-4 overall (3-1 IIAC) and will look to bounce back on Saturday afternoon when the team hosts Wartburg College (9-5, 4-0 IIAC) inside of Siebens Fieldhouse in a 4:00pm tip-off.
