EMORY, Va. – Senior Josh Pittman poured in a game- and season-high 32 points in Guilford College's 82-68 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball win at Emory & Henry College Wednesday night. The victory extended Guilford's winning streak to a season-best seven games.

Pittman stroked seven three-pointers, the most by an ODAC competitor this season, in 13 attempts. He hit three threes during a decisive 18-0 Guilford run in the first half. Emory & Henry's Charles Smith made one of two free throws 8:14 before halftime to give the Wasps (2-9, 0-4 ODAC) an 18-13 lead, but the Quakers (12-2, 4-1 ODAC) reeled off the next 18 points on the way to a 33-23 halftime edge. Pittman had 11 of his 15 first-half points during the spurt.

Tyler Mullins brought Emory & Henry to within 39-31 three minutes into the second half before Pittman drained back-to-back three-pointers. The long-distance shots triggered a 19-4 Guilford burst that effectively put the game out of reach. Mullins tried to rally the Wasps, scoring 17 of his team-high 21 points in the second half, but Guilford maintained at least a 13-point lead for the final 15:27. The Quakers shot 61.5 percent from the floor in the second half.

Guilford's Matt McCarthy scored 14 points and reigning ODAC Player of the Week Zeb Richardson chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds. The Quakers held a narrow 40-38 rebounding edge thanks in part to Jake Hopkins' team-high 10 boards.

Mullins' 21 points and game-high 12 rebounds paced Emory & Henry, which shot just over 37% from the floor. Myles Turner added 11 points for the Wasps before fouling out. Smith and Tyler Driver both scored nine points.

Guilford visits league-rival Eastern Mennonite Saturday (1/12) for a 2:00 p.m. contest. The Quakers pulled out a 67-64 home victory over the Royals Nov. 28 in Greensboro.
