MIAMI, FL - The Medaille College men's basketball team dropped its second straight game as Messiah College bested the Mavs (76-60) on day one of the Miami Adidas Shootout. The Mavs struggled to knock down shots from all over the floor on the night en route to the non-conference loss.

The final score was not indicative of the game as the Mavs trailed by seven at the half (32-25) as they trimmed a (13) point Messiah lead to four during the first half before settling into the intermission with that seven point deficit.

The Mavs received little help from their bench as the Medaille reserves only managed to tally ten points on the night. Leading the way for Medaille was sophomore guard Jammal Coleman who poured in a game high (23) points. He was followed by fellow sophomore Alex Baron who tossed in (13) points while senior Tyler Stevens registered (8) points and Josh Laureano chipped in with (6) points of his own, while pulling down a team high (8) boards and matching a game best with (6) assists.

The loss drops Medaille to (5-4) overall as they prepare to face Lebanon Valley College tomorrow evening (12/22) at 7:00pm in their final game in Miami.
