NEW YORK – Right from the start, the College of Staten Island showed why last season's NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Sweet 16 appearance was no fluke. The Dolphins battle-tested the City College of New York and shot 56 percent in a 76-50 victory over the Beavers in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday evening at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The Beavers fell to 4-6 on the year and 0-4 in CUNYAC play while the Dolphins improved to 5-1 and 3-0 in conference action. The Dolphins, led by two double-doubles and great outside shooting by Jon Chadwick-Myers downed CCNY. The Beavers forced 23 turnovers and recorded 16 steals, led by Brandon Reeves and Paul Dail picking up three apiece.

Reeves posted 12 points, nine rebounds, three steals and one block and sophomore Anthony Lewis led all Beavers with 14 points.

The Beavers take a short break for final exams and return to the hardwood on Dec. 22 against the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
