WATERVILLE, Maine – Franklin Salvador dropped 26 points to lead Thomas College to a 98-59 win over Maine Maritime Academy in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play Tuesday evening. Salvador was one of three Terriers (13-10, 10-7 NAC) to finish in double figures, completing the season sweep of the Mariners (2-20, 1-15), who have now dropped 15 consecutive contests.
Salvador hit on 9-of-16 shots from the field to post the game-high. Rob Nutter scored 13 points, while Antonio Juco added 10. Andy Ball (Hermon, Maine) posted 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Mariners' effort.
Thomas held a four-point lead, 36-32, at the locker room break, but the Mariners two-reserve rotation left little in the tank in the second half. A Salvador trey three minutes into the second half sparked a 14-1 run from which Maine Maritime was unable to recover.
The Mariners return to action on Friday against Lyndon State.
