BOSTON, MASS. – The guard combination of junior Josh Cabrera (Providence, R.I.) and sophomore Tommy McDonald (Groton, Mass.) topped the scoring column in a 69-57 Great Northeast Athletic Conference loss at Emmanuel Feb. 11.

McDonald came off the bench for the Cadets (5-17, 4-12 GNAC) to score 14 points and dish out a co-team-high three assists, Cabrera was second on the scoring chart with 11 points. Senior forward Antonio Davis (Albany, N.Y.) just missed a double-double with eight points to go along with a big day off the glass in the form of 14 rebounds.

Emmanuel (10-12, 9-6 GNAC) took advantage of a cold-shooting Maroon and Gold squad in the opening frame. The Saints jumped out to a 26-9 lead and led 29-14 at the break, as Norwich was five-of-21 from the field. Despite trailing by as much as 22 in the second half, NU whittled the margin down to as little as nine in the final minute.

The Cadets head into the final week of 2011-12 regular season with Anna Maria College's visit to Andrews Gymnasium Tuesday, Feb. 14. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

NOTES – Davis recorded his sixth double-figure rebounding game. … McDonald registered his 11th double-figure scoring game of the year and first since pouring in 18 points against JWU on Jan. 26. … Cabrera's double-digit points' effort was his first since prior to being out due to injury in early December.
