CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago men's basketball team overcame a 13-point second half deficit en route to a 77-75 overtime victory against University Athletic Association rival Carnegie Mellon University Friday night at the Ratner Athletics Center.

• The teams played to an 11-11 tie five minutes into the contest, before a 20-9 Tartans' run put Carnegie Mellon (7-14 overall, 2-9 UAA) on top 31-20 with 5:31 remaining in the period. Carnegie Mellon led 36-27 at the break.
