MADISON, N.J. (December 16, 2011) – Junior Terrell Brown (Camden, N.J./Woodrow Wilson) poured in a career-high 26 points in a 98-79 loss to Keystone College (7-2) this evening in Baldwin Gym. The Rangers, who came off a nine-day layoff, fall to 2-7 on the year.

Brown sank a career-best 11 field goals and fell a rebound shy of his 13th double-double of his career. All nine of the guard's boards came on the defensive end. Senior Dara Mc Keon (Dunboyne, Ireland/St. Peter's College) also had a career night, netting 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting.

The Giants big four of Kenneth Hardnett, Malcom Boone, Mike Kelly, and Dan Candemeres all came into the game averaging 10 or more points a game and proved why in a convincing road victory. The team's leading scorer going into the contest, Hardnett,  tallied 21 points, followed by Kelly who was red-hot from beyond the arc and finished with 22.

Kelly got the Giants off to a fast start in the opening minutes, nailing three, 3-pointers on consecutive possessions, sparking a 14-6 run in the first 3:16 of the game. Keystone kept the pressure on and led the entire contest keeping a double digit lead for nearly 30 minutes of the game.

The Rangers made one push at the end of the first half and narrowed the Giant lead to eight thanks to a 14-6 run of their own in a four minute span near the end of the half. The eight points would be as close as they got for the rest of the half as Keystone scored the 15 of the last 18 points of the frame.

With a comfortable 53-35 lead at the break the Giants would not look back, opening up leads as high as 25 midway through the second half of play.

All five starters for the Giants were in double figures with Kelly and Hardnett finishing with double-doubles. Hardnett pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds with nine coming on the offensive end.

The Rangers will be back in action on Sunday when they cross the Delaware River to take on Muhlenberg College in a non-conference tilt. The tip is scheduled for 4:00 in Allentown, Pa.
