BOSTON, MASS. – Norwich University put three players in double figures in a hard-fought 75-67 loss at Suffolk College Jan. 21.

The Cadets, dipping to 4-11 overall and 3-6 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, got out the gate fast inside Regan Gymnasium. NU led by as much as seven at two points in the first half before the host Rams (6-10, 3-6 GNAC) trimmed the lead to 34-33 at the break. Suffolk scored the first four points of the second frame and was tied at 40-40 early after a brief NU rally, but the home team never trailed the rest of the way.

Coach Paul Booth's team received a balanced scoring attack. Freshman forward Evan Tullar (Chelsea, Vt.) dropped in 15 points, recorded one of the Cadets' two blocked shots, and picked up two steals. Sophomore Tommy McDonald (Groton, Mass.), continuing his impressive campaign, led the way with 16 points which included a four-of-eight effort from outside the arc. Senior forward Antonio Davis (Albany, N.Y.) added 11 points and a team-best three assists.

Norwich begins a three-game week next week with a trip to Emerson College Tuesday, Jan. 24, for a 7 p.m. GNAC tip-off.
