The Auggies dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Johnnies 47-14, including 18 offensive rebounds, and tallied a 20-5 advantage in second-chance points in the game. Augsburg capitilized on a slow start for the Johnnies and used a key 14-1 run in the second-half to put the game away after the Johnnies cut the Augsburg lead to 10, 40-30. The run was highlighted by three consecutive three-pointers by Schmidt. The Auggies cruised on to the 65-49 win.
