BROCKPORT, NY—With Justin Mitchell (Buffalo/Timon) missing in action due to an injury, No. 21 Buffalo State (11-2/4-2) could not match the fire power of host Brockport (4-7/2-2) in a 94-70 loss in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium. Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) was the lone Bengal scoring in double figures with 25 points. Ahmed Nagaya (Bronx/Astor Collegiate) had nine points and two assists. Brockport led just 30-28 at the intermission, but used a 12-2 run to open the second half and never looked back. Buffalo State committed 23 turnovers and hit just 1 of 8 3-point attempts in the second half. Buffalo State will look to get back on track at Geneseo tomorrow in another SUNYAC game at 4 p.m.
