The Randolph-Macon College Men's Basketball team ran its winning streak to five games with a, 74-64, ODAC victory over Bridgewater Saturday afternoon in Ashland.
R-MC (11-3 / 4-2 ODAC) was led by Calvin Croskey's 17 points, while Lamar Giggetts added 13 points and a game-high seven rebounds in the win. The Jackets made 25-of-56 shots on the afternoon for a 44.6 shooting percentage. Dylan Cole had nine points, while Adam Desgain, Connor Sullivan and Andre Simon all had eight points in the win.
With the game tied at 16, R-MC went on a 12-0 run, taking a 28-16 lead on a three-point basket by Desgain.
BC (4-9 / 1-3 ODAC) responded with a 9-2 run to cut the R-MC lead to 30-25 when Waugh drained a three-pointer for the Eagles.
Bridgewater cut it to four at 35-31 before five straight points by Sullivan pushed the R-MC advantage to 40-31 with just over four minutes to play.
Randolph-Macon took a 42-35 lead into the locker room and took a 10 point lead when Croskey nailed a three-pointer to start the second-stanza.
The Eagles would fight back again, chipping the R-MC lead down to four points when a Reddick bucket made the score 49-45 with just under 16 minutes to go.
Randolph-Macon then went on an 8-0 run that was capped by a follow up dunk by Simon that put the Jackets in front 57-45 with 14 minutes to play.
BC then scored 15 of the next 21 points and pulled within one point wen Waugh knocked down a trifecta, making the score 63-62 with 8:37 to play.
Five straight points by Cole would spark what proved to be an 11-2 run to close out the game for the Yellow Jackets.
Waugh led three Eagles in double-figures with 19 points. Aaron Adams had 16 and Reddick had 11 and a team-high six boards.
Randolph-Macon is back in action on when it heads to Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m contest.
