Patchogue, NY: The Ramapo College men's basketball team defeated previously undefeated St. Joseph's College - LI (7-1) tonight on the road, 86-83. The Roadrunners improve to 7-3 overall.

Stephon Treadwell posted a double double with 14 points and 16 rebounds while four other Roadrunners added double digit point performances. Demetrius Boards scored 16 points while grabbing nine rebounds, Will Sanborn scored a team high 17 points and dished out three assists. Garret Thiel added ten points, two assists and two steals while Rich Grant added six rebounds and 13 points. The Roadrunners shot 48% from the field in the game while they were 57% from the foul line (15-26).

The game was tied 39-39 heading into the locker room after the first half, where the Golden Eagles' had their biggest lead at 3:17, 36-32 while the Roadrunners' biggest lead came at 30-23 with 6:35. Ramapo saw that lead disappear as St. Joe's hit back to back to back three pointers to take a 31-30 lead with 4:56 remaining in the half. Following a made basket by the Golden Eagles made basket at 3:17, Ramapo went on a 7-3 run to close the half and tie the game for the seventh time at, 39-39 on a made jumper by Grant with 53 seconds remaining.

In the second half, the Golden Eagles would tie the game for the tenth time at 49 (16:13) before they would go up by as many as ten with a 12-2 run capped off by a three pointer at 14:36, 61-51. Ramapo would come with in two 79-77 on a made foul shot by Boards before they tied the game on the next trip down the court on a made jumper by Boards, 79-79 with 3:04 on the clock. Ramapo would go on a 6-4 run to end the game with a three point lead, 86-83 as the Roadrunners hit 3-4 shots from the charity stripe by Thiel. The Golden Eagles' got the ball back with five seconds remaining and got a three point shot off that rimmed out of the basket preserving the road win for Ramapo.

Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to York College (NY) for an 8:00pm game.
