Juniors Nick Wilcox and James Barton scored 18 points apiece to lift the Bethany College men's basketball team to a 79-60 road victory at Washington & Jefferson Wednesday night.

The Bison, who improved to 12-1 overall and 4-0 in the PAC, remain tied atop the PAC standings with Thiel (8-4, 5-0). The Presidents dropped to 5-8 and 1-3 in the league.

Wilcox scored 12 points in the first half and the Bison closed the period with a 13-1 spurt to build a 45-26 advantage going into halftime. W&J managed to get within 12 a little under four minutes into the second half, but Bethany answered with nine of the next 11 points to take the spread back to 19. Barton would tally 15 of his 18 after the break, as BC's lead grew to as large as 23 in the second half and the Green and White remained unbeaten in the league.

In addition to his 18 points, Wilcox hauled down 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Barton's 18 were highlighted by a perfect 7-for-7 effort from the foul line, which keyed the Bison's 21-for-25 performance from the charity stripe.

Joining them in double digits was junior guard Reece Mabery with 16, as well as seven assists, and sophomore forward Leslie Addy notched 11 and five boards.

For W&J, freshman guard Andy Carter tallied 16 and Brett RubinGoldstein scored 14.

The Bison will try to make it 5-0 in the PAC Saturday with a home game against Waynesburg. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
