Marymount Men’s Basketball Drops Road Contest

St. Mary's City, Md. – Playing in just its second road game of the season, Marymount University's men's basketball team fell 81-63 to defending Capital Athletic Conference champions St. Mary's (Md.).  The Saints fall to 3-9 overall and 1-4 in league action.

 

Reed Scott led the Saints with 17 points while Timothy Brisco added 12 and Antonio Rouse had 10.  John Magnani paced MU on the boards with eight rebounds while Garrett Snoops and Jesse Konadu had four and three steals, respectively.

 

Five Seahawks (10-3, 4-0 CAC) scored in double-figures, led by Chris Hutchinson with a game-high 18.  Christian Macauley added 13, Nick Laguerre chipped in 13 and both Devin Spencer and Brendan McFall had 10.

 

Marymount returns to the friendly confines of the Verizon Sports Arena on Saturday, January 7, against visiting Hood in CAC action.  Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/mBasketball and selecting the "live stats" and "live video" links.
