Marymount Men’s Hoops Falls to UMW in CAC Action

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team fell 89-75 to Capital Athletic Conference rival Mary Washington on Friday night.  The Saints drop to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in league play.

 

Jesse Konadu led the Saints with 18 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.  John Magnani added 16 points, six boards and two blocks while Andrew Somuah chimed in with 11 points on a perfect 5-for-5 performance from the field.

 

Garrett Snoops led all players with seven assists.

 

Marymount matched the Eagles (7-2, 3-0 CAC) nearly stat for stat but was outdone from behind the arc.  The Saints hit just 3-of-24 of their three-pointers while UMW converted 11-of-23 at a 47.8 percent clip.

 

Bradley Riester led the Eagles with a game-high 20 points.  Tad Dickman added 15, E.J. Willis had 14 off the bench and both Walt Smith and Matt Boward chipped in 10.
