HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The Rosemont College men's basketball team dropped their second consecutive game, this one against the Centenary Cyclones by a final score of 79-65. The Ravens move to 1-3 (0-2 CSAC) while the win was Centenary's third straight to move them to 3-2. Tonight's game was the first CSAC game for the Cyclones this season.

The Ravens trailed Centenary at the break by six points, 36-30. Rosemont shot a respectable 37.1% from the field in the half, but the defense was less effective, allowing the Cyclones to shoot 48.4%. Both teams cooled off in the second half with Centenary shooting 34.5%, but the Ravens shot only 30.2% (1-for-14, 7.1% from beyond the arc). Rosemont sent the Cyclones to the charity stripe 24 times in the final stanza where the home team converted 20 chances compared to 8-for-10 shots for the Ravens in the half.

Still, although the Ravens trailed by as many as 16 points, 68-52 with about six minutes left, Rosemont put together a rally to claw back to within eight points at 73-65, but by then the remaining time would not be enough for the Ravens to complete a comeback, especially when the Ravens were sending Centenary to the foul line down the stretch.

Rosemont junior Derrick Carter (Millville, N.J.) led all scorers in tonight's game with 17 points. Rosemont junior Tremell Green (Philadelphia, Pa.) and senior Harrison Carsillo (Collingswood, N.J.) also scored in double-figures for the Ravens, scoring 11 and 10 points respectively. Green also pulled down seven boards to lead the Ravens in that category.

The Ravens play their first home CSAC game of the season on Wednesday, 11/30, when they host the Immaculata Mighty Macs. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 8:00pm.
