Cyclones Extend Win Streak With Conference Win

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (November 28, 2011) – Senior Larry Lenahan (South Amboy, N.J./South Amboy) led the Cyclones to their first conference win in a 79-65 victory over Rosemont College to extend Centenary's winning streak to three games. Lenahan contributed with his third double-double in as many games as he posted up 11 points and ten rebounds on the day.

The two teams held each other close the entire first half as the Cyclones could not extend their lead past five points until the final few seconds of the half when a strong layup by Ludner Innocent (Asbury Park, N.J./Academy Charter) put the Cyclones up 36-30 going into halftime.

Coming out of the second half, the Cyclones offense began to shine as they went on a 11-6 run to open the half, taking a 49-38 lead on a Gabe Cheavers (Howell, N.J./Howell) tip-in. Following a couple Ravens free throws, the Cyclones came firing back with five points in 30 seconds by Tim Brix (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe) to put the Cyclones up 55-42.

The Cyclones continued to shine as they took the biggest lead of the day at 66-48 before closing out the Ravens for their first conference victory of the season. With the win, the Cyclones improve to 3-2 and look to continue their streak as they travel out to La Plume, Pa. to take on Keystone College on Wednesday at 8:00pm.
