York, Pa. – Marymount University's men's basketball team dropped an 82-68 decision at York (Pa.) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The Saints fall to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in CAC play.

Reed Scott led the Saints with 16 points and 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.  He added a game-high three blocks as well.

Jesse Konadu and Mac Kennedy added 15 and 12 points respectively.  Kennedy also dished out six assists and collected three steals.

In a tightly contested opening frame, both squads saw a combined 15 ties and lead changes.  The Saints would lead by as many as seven at 30-23 with 2:41 remaining in the first behind a trio of free throws by Konadu.  York (5-2, 2-0 CAC) answered back, closing out the frame on an 11-2 run to take a 34-32 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the break, a dunk by John Magnani to open the second stanza sparked another back-and-forth affair.  Another eight ties and lead changes made it a game through the first 10 minutes before YCP put together another 11-2 run over a three minute span to lead 65-55 at the 7:02 mark.  Marymount would pull within six with four minutes to play at 71-65, but the Spartans closed out the victory on the free throw line.

Five Spartans scored in double-figures, led by Andrew Pawlyk with a game-best 17 points off the bench.  Paul Kouvaris added 14, Mitch Kemp tallied and both Todd Maciejewski and Julian Watson chimed in with 11.
