Chris Beauchampscored 27 points (9-11 fg) to lead the Baruch College Bearcats to a 77-60 road victory over the Dolphins from the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday night in Riverdale, New York.
The visiting Bearcats consistently led by double-digits all evening and were up by as much as 24 points (75-51) late in the second half. They finished shooting 53 percent (29-54) from the field, while the home team Dolphins struggled shooting only 3-of-24 from 3-point range.
Beauchamp was nearly perfect from 3-point range as he connected on his first seven attempts before missing number eight. He also contributed six rebounds and five assists.
Nate Youngrecorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Calvin Jurewicz-Johnsonfinished with 13 points, six assists and two steals. Mickey Abbatiellorounded out the double-figure scorers for Baruch this evening with 12 points and three steals.
The Dolphins, who play in the Skyline Conference, were led in the scoring column by Mark Waite with a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds.
The men's basketball team will begin their CUNYAC schedule on Thursday, December 1, with a 7:00 pm contest at CCNY.
