Hardin-Simmons Remains Undefeated With Win Over LeTourneau

ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team remained undefeated with an 87-51 win over LeTourneau in American Southwest Conference action on Monday night at the Mabee Complex.

The Cowboys jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never trailed in the contest. HSU led by as many as 28 points in the first half at 42-14. LeTourneau cut it to 18 point on a couple occasions in the second half but a 25-3 run put the game away.

Matt Addison had 24 seven assists and five rebounds. John Derr hit six 3-pointers and had a season-high 20 points.

HSU forced 22 turnovers in the game and scored 30 points off the turnovers. The Cowboys also had 34 points from its bench.

Jourdan Hughes had 11 points, five assists and four steals to pace LeTourneau.

The Cowboys are now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in ASC play. LeTourneau is 1-3 on the year and 0-2 in league play. HSU hits the road to play Texas-Dallas and Ozarks this weekend.
