Senior Asmar Capers (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) led all scorers with 32 points and eight rebounds. For the Bullets, Alex Zum scored 19 points, on 9-of-14 shooting and Christian Bors added 14 to aid Gettysburg to their first win of the season.

After a seesaw battle in the final 20 minutes, the Rangers chipped away at a four-point lead with less than three minutes to play.  Capers scored six of the final eight Ranger points to cut the Bullet lead to one with 42 seconds to go. Zum took the last Gettysburg shot of regulation with nine seconds left the rimmed out. With a chance to win, Capers took the ball to hoop and was fouled in the act with a tenth of a second left on the clock. Capers knocked down the first of two free throws to tie the game at 52 but his second attempt failed to drop, forcing overtime.

The score knotted twice in the extra frame with the last tie coming at 56-56 at the 2:31 mark. On the ensuing possession, the Rangers took the lead on a pair of free throws by Capers. The lead would be the visiting team's last, as the Rangers were held scoreless for the rest of the contest.

The turning points of the game came on consecutive possessions when Gettysburg failed to convert free throws but grabbed two key offensive rebounds. The Bullets scored the last four points over the last minute of play to hand the Rangers their second loss in two days.

The Rangers will be off the next two days before they return to Baldwin Gym for a non-conference matchup with Arcadia on Tuesday night. Tipoff will follow the women who play Baptist Bible at 5:00 p.m.
