The Chargers (0-2), who will play the University of New England on Saturday, scored the final four points of the first half to take a 40-34 lead into the locker room. Senior James Tobin (Brookline, N.H.) stole the ball and went in for a layup and sophomore Stephen Thorpe (Chicago, Ill.) hit a lay-up at the buzzer.

After seven lead changes, the Saints (2-0) ran off eight straight points, taking a 70-60 lead on a pair of free throws by sophomore Al Jones (Newark, N.J.) with 4:24 to play.

Colby-Sawyer made things interesting in the final minute cutting the lead down to 75-72 on a three-pointer from the corner by senior Will Bardaglio (Wayne, Maine) with 27 seconds to go. With 20 seconds to play, sophomore Janpeter Brace (Lake Wylie, S.C.) hit one of two free throws to make it 76-72.

Tobin had a put back off the boards to make it 76-74 with 1.2 seconds on the clock. He was fouled on the play. He missed the free throw and the Saints' Ralph Temgoua (Paris, France) grabbed the rebound as time expired.

Senior Garrett Sharlow (Massena, N.Y.) led a balanced St. Lawrence offense with 15 points. Junior Kyle Miller (Central Square, N.Y.) scored 14 points and Temgoua had 12 points to go with nine rebounds and seven assists. Jones also finished in double figures with 10 points.

Three players finished in double figures for Colby-Sawyer. Freshman Mike Dias (Carver, Mass.) had a game high 18 points and a team best seven rebounds. Freshman Koang Thok (Portland, Maine) scored 15 points and Bardaglio finished with 14 points.

The Saints had a 41-28 advantage on the boards. CSC put up 29 three-pointers, hitting eight of them. St. Lawrence was 7-14 behind the arc.
