The Lakers, who saw their 16-game winning streak come to an end, fell to 23-4 overall, while Brockport improved to 15-12.  Oswego State will await to hear from the NCAA Selection Committee on Monday, February 28 at 1 p.m. ET whether it will gain entry into the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Lakers took an early 9-4 lead behind the support of the home crowd, but the Golden Eagles settled down to go on a 15-3 run with four points from Kyheem Green and a pair of three-pointers by Stephen Sisson off the bench to bookend the stretch.

With Brockport holding a 27-20 advantage, Oswego State knotted the score following four Chris Gilkes free throws and a Burridge trey with 3:32 remaining in the half. Gerald Williams hit a runner just before the end of the stanza to send the Golden Eagles into the locker room with a 34-30 lead.  Brockport shot 56.0 percent from the field in the half compared to just 28.0 percent for the Lakers. Oswego State kept the score close on free throw shooting as it went 12-for-14 from the charity stripe.

The Lakers came out of the locker room with increased intensity as they scored seven of the first nine points of the second half to go ahead 37-36. From that point, each possession became more important as the squads engaged in a back-and-forth battle.  A dunk by Burridge gave Oswego State a 56-55 lead, but Kyheem Green silenced the crowd with three of his team-high 22 points on a three-pointer near the top of the key to give Brockport the lead for good at 58-56.

Head coach Adam Stockwell's squad trailed by three points with 39 seconds remaining after a layup by Burridge.  The Laker full-court pressure forced two jump balls to regain possession with 22 seconds left, but Oswego State was unable to score as Jon Ivy pulled down the rebound as the Golden Eagles went on to claim the 74-70 upset win.

Chris Gilkes was the only other Laker to reach double figures with ten points, while Hayden Ward contributed nine points and ten boards.  Oswego State finished the game going 27-for-37 from the free throw line.  Joining Green in double-digits was Gerald Williams, who scored 14, and Zack McTigue and Stephen Sisson, who added 12 points each.

Brockport, which pulled off the same feat by defeating a higher-seeded Oswego State squad in 2009, will face No. 2-seed Buffalo State in the SUNYAC Final on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Oswego.
