Pat Sullivan '12 scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Hamilton College to a 60-53 win against St. Lawrence University in a Liberty League men's basketball game at the Burkman Gymnasium on Feb. 11.

Ephraim McDowell '12 made four 3-pointers, finishing with 17 points and five rebounds for Hamilton. Ken Click '13 scored eight points and Greg Newton '14 added six points for the Continentals.

Hamilton (13-7 overall, 7-4 Liberty) shot 68 percent from the field in the second half and were 7-11 from the line. The Continentals remain in fourth place in the conference and the Saints (10-11, 6-5) move to fifth place.

St. Lawrence was led by Ralph Temgoua '12 with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Al Jones '14 added 10 points with two 3-pointers. Nick Meunier chipped in nine points and brought down four rebounds.

St. Lawrence jumped out to a 16-6 advantage in the first 10:00 minutes before Hamilton went on an 11-2 run to come within one point, 18-17, with under 4:00 minutes to play in the first half. The Saints continued to jam the ball inside to take a 24-17 advantage into the locker rooms.

In the second half, Hamilton battled back to tie the score (27-27) on two free throws by Sullivan. The Saints then stretched their lead back out to nine points as Jones scored back-to-back layups followed by Temgoua converting two free throws at the 12:54 mark.

Hamilton responded with an 11-2 run and Sullivan sank a jumper at 7:14 to knot the score at 45-45. McDowell drained a three-pointer at 6:04 to pull the Continentals ahead. At the 1:12 mark Jones sank a three-pointer, bringing St. Lawrence back to within three points (54-51), but McDowell scored his fourth three-pointer of the night and the Continentals converted 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch to claim the 60-53 victory.

The Continentals travel to Clarkson tomorrow for another Liberty League game while the Saints take on Clarkson. Tip-off of both games is slated for 4:00pm.
