CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 5) -- Hendrix College shot just 28.3 percent from the field (17-of-60), while Trinity University used a balanced attack with four players in double-figures to outlast the Warriors, 60-45, on Saturday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium.

Trinity (11-10, 8-5 SCAC) led the entire way and jumped out to an 18-8 lead with 12:33 left in the first half. Sophomore John Boxberger drained a 3-pointer to send Trinity into the locker room with a 35-21 advantage at the break. Trinity scored 14 points off Hendrix's (7-14, 3-10 SCAC) eight first-half turnovers and scored 11 second-chance points off six offensive rebounds.

The Warriors worked themselves back into the game after a 13-3 run over a 6:16 span narrowed the deficit to seven points, 46-39, with 9:14 left in regulation. Unfortunately, that is as close as Hendrix would come. Trinity held Hendrix to just six points the rest of the way, as junior Chris Goodman scored the Warriors' only field goal (a 3-pointer) in the last nine minutes of action.

Trinity senior Luke Caldarera finished with a game-high 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting. First year Rob Kitzinger added 12 points, first year Clark Allen scored 11 and first year Jonathan Wilt tallied 10 points to round out the Tigers double-digit scorers. Junior Ryan Beall dished a game-high eight assists.

Junior Nick Heathscott led Hendrix with 13 points and a season-high 16 rebounds. Junior Ammon Martin had nine points, three assists, three blocks and a pair of steals.

The Warriors will entertain University of Dallas on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. CT, before hosting Millsaps College on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m.
