LANGHORNE, PA - Following a sluggish opening period on the offensive end Tuesday evening, things only got worse over the final 20 minutes for the men's basketball team.

The host squad connected on just five second half field goals during a 65-46 loss to visiting Keystone College, hitting at a 20.8 percent tally for the stanza.

Keystone built on a 37-27 halftime lead during the second period, pushing the lead to as great as 22 during the back end of play.

The visitors were aided by a 28-15 edge in bench points for the game as 10 different players reached the scoring column for the Giants. Keystone shot just 27.3 percent during the second frame but were aided by 24 Crimson Eagle turnovers for the contest to help combat the squad's lackluster performance from the field.

For the first time this season, PBU failed to place a single player in double-digits. Sophomore Adam Derus led the way with nine total points while junior Claude Chalk finished with eight points and eight boards.

The basketball team will return to the court on Thursday during a meeting with Marywood University on the road. Game time against the Pacers is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
