Winchester, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team dropped its final non-conference game of the season with a 66-60 loss to Shenandoah on Wednesday night.

Senior guard Stephen Simoneau led the Saints (2-13) with 13 points while junior forward Tarek Ammoury had 12 and freshman forward Reed Scott chipped in 11.  Junior forward John Magnani pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds in the loss.

Shenandoah held as much as a 17 point lead in the first half and would hold momentum the majority of the game before a Scott jumper at the 2:15 mark would eventually cut the Marymount deficit to just one at 57-56.  Unable to take the lead on the next possession, the Saints were forced to foul down the stretch as the Hornets put the game away on the line.

For the Hornets (2-11), Kevin Kline led all scorers with 16 points while Brandon Bryan added 15.  Chris Christenson put together a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds as Mitch Dudley rounded out the double-figure scoring with 12 points.

Marymount returns to action on Saturday at home against Stevenson at 7 p.m. in Capital Athletic Conference play.
