Despite a season-high 28 points from senior forward Austin Meier, the Raiders were knocked off by Edgewood 62-60 in overtime Saturday evening in Madison, Wis. Meier also grabbed ten rebounds to record his seventh double-double of the season. He had four steals in the game.
Senior guard Bennett Deacon knocked down a shot with 26 seconds left in overtime to put MSOE up by one but two free throws by Tony Cates with three seconds to go put the Eagles in front for good. No team led by more than seven points and there were 13 ties during the game.
Junior guard Oren Bloom and sophomore forward Victor Bande each scored eight points. The Raiders (9-4, 3-2 NAC) face Concordia-Chicago in River Forest Wednesday at 7 p.m.
