JACKSON, MS - The Mississippi College men's basketball team won the Millsaps Holiday Tournament with a 67-55 win over the homestanding Majors on Friday night at Hangar Dome.  Senior Ken Black was named MVP of the tournament, while junior Greg Pulliam earned an All-Tournament Team selection.

MC controlled the game from start to finish as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead to open the contest.  Millsaps would never get the game any closer than four points the rest of the way.  The Choctaws outrebounded the Majors, 41-33, with Pulliam and sophomore Cameron Bounds pacing MC with five each.

Black led the Choctaws with 18 points in the game after scoring the same amount in the win over Belhaven yesterday.  Junior Pierre Hadley was the only other Choctaw in double-figures with 10 points.

Millsaps had three players in double-figures, led by LV Sumler with 14 points on 5-15 shooting from the floor.  Brian Merkel and Kyle Kinnear each finished with 11 points apiece.

The Choctaws will put their two-game winning streak on the line on Monday, when they travel to face the University of New Orleans at 7:00 p.m.
