ALPINE, TX - The Mississippi College men's basketball went cold from the floor in the second half on their way to a 68-61 loss to Sul Ross State University on Thursday night in the Pete P. Gallego Center.

The Choctaws only shot 35% (9-26) in the second half and only forced seven turnovers from the Lobos in the loss.

Senior Ken Black led MC with 15 points and seven rebounds, while going 5-11 from the floor.  No other Choctaw tallied double-figures with juniors E.C. Williams and Chad Jones scoring eight points apeice.

The Lobos were led by Jimmy Martinez and Justin Weldon with 15 points apiece.  Weldon made 4-7 three-pointers, while SRSU knocked down seven threes overall.  Percy Settle also tallied 12 points in the game.

The Choctaws outrebounded the Lobos, 39-30, in the contest.

MC will travel to Brownwood, TX to face Howard Payne at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
