#25 Manchester picked up its second win of the season on Tuesday following a 78-63 win over Kalamazoo.

Manchester and Kalamazoo were tied at 19-19 with under nine minutes to go in the first half, but Manchester went on a 27-7 run to close out the period and took a 46-26 lead into the break after shooting 67 percent from the field. MC pushed the lead to as many as 27 with a 78-51 advantage before the Hornets closed out the second half with 12 unanswered to make it a 78-63 final.

Mitch Schaefer led the way with a 20-point performance, hitting 8-14 shots from the field and 4-8 three pointers. Jordan Moss added 12 points on 4-5 shooting to go with his three rebounds, six assists and a steal. Jason Spindler was 5-7 from the floor and contributed 12 points, six rebounds three assists and a blocked shot. Tyler Henn recorded eight steals, and added 11 points on 5-9 shooting, while Tyler Delauder went 3-4 from behind the arc and 4-5 overall to score 11 points to go with his five rebounds.

Manchester improves to 2-0 on the year and hosts North Central College on Sunday starting at 3 p.m., and will travel to Earlham to begin conference play on Wednesday.
