Winningest Loras coach out after NCAA Tournament trip

Justin Heinzen head shot Justin Heinzen entered the season as Loras' winningest women's basketball coach. The Duhawks advanced to the second round of the Division III women's basketball NCAA Tournament.

And the week after that tournament trip ended in the second round, Heinzen announced his resignation. Although the school has yet to announce his resignation on its athletics website, the position has been posted.

Heinzen was head coach at Loras for 15 seasons, compiling a record of 254-141. This year's Duhawks went 24-5 and won the American Rivers Conference tournament, including the ARC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
