Gustavus Adolphus snapped St. Thomas' 77-game conference winning streak on Saturday afternoon while No. 7 Mary Hardin-Baylor cruised past No. 12 Whitman, No. 1 Amherst got back on track and Mary Washington outlasted former CAC foe Marymount.

No. 6 St. Thomas and Gustavus Adolphus battled to a 54-all tie with four minutes to play when the Gusties (6-1, 3-0 MIAC) took over the game. Ava Gonsorowski made two free throws to put Gustavus ahead 56-54 and then, after two St. Thomas turnovers, Caitlin Rorman's layup extended the Gusties' lead to four. The Tommies (6-1, 3-1 MIAC) pulled within two but Gustavus made enough free throws down the stretch to secure the victory. Recap

The loss ends St. Thomas 77-game winning streak in the MIAC and its 29-game winning streak at home. Gustavus Adolphus earned its first win in 14 games at Schonecker Arena.
