Calver takes over Crusaders' program

The University of Dallas announced Bri Calver, who spent the last three seasons as an assistant at Hendrix, as its new head women's basketball coach.

 

Calver has six years of coaching experience at the Division III level. She spent three seasons as the assistant to Drew Gaeng at Hendrix. The Warriors went 46-37 during her three seasons in Conway, Ark. and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2017. Prior to that Calver spent three seasons as a graduate assistant on Chad Shutler's staff at Bluffton University.

She played basketball at Division II Mass.-Lowell where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2013. She earned her master's in business administration from Bluffton in 2016.

Calver replaces Lacey Burns who went 11-39 in two seasons at Dallas.

The Crusaders went 2-23, 1-15 in the SCAC last season.
