Less than two weeks after Pamela Findlay resigned as head women's basketball coach at Lewis and Clark, the school has named her assistant and former All-American Kristina Williams as her replacement.

"To come full circle from student-athlete to head coach at my alma mater is a dream come true," said Williams in the school's release. "I am very excited about the future of our program and to have the opportunity to continue to give back to the student-athletes here the same way my mentors did for me."
Williams is one of the most decorated players in Lewis and Clark women's basketball history. She was twice named the NWC Player of the Year and was selected as a first-team All-American after her senior season in 2013. She finished in the top 10 for the program in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals and was named the college's Female Athlete of the Year three times.
After graduating in 2013, Williams spent time coaching at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California and at Smith College, where she earned her master's degree. Williams spent the last two seasons as the primary assistant to Findlay who stepped down to take the head coaching job at Macalester.
The Pioneers finished 14-12, 9-7 in the NWC last season.
