Citing a desire to pursue other opportunities, Robin Potera-Haskins has submitted her immediate resignation as Linfield women's basketball coach and physical education professor, director of athletics Scott Carnahan announced on Wednesday.

Potera-Haskins recently completed her fifth season as Linfield coach, ending with a 12-13 overall record and fifth place finish in the NWC. She took over the program prior to the 2010-11 season

In five seasons at Linfield she had a 47-74 record, 25-55 in the NWC.

“Coach Potera-Haskins helped turn around a program that was in dire straits when she took over,” said Carnahan. “She has made a decision to pursue other interests. We wish her nothing but the best.”

Potera-Haskins made an immediate impact during her first year, leading Linfield to its first winning campaign in five seasons. The Wildcats doubled their win total from the previous year, finishing with a 13-11 overall win-loss mark.

In her 25-year tenure as a head high school and collegiate coach she has won eight conference championships and competed in five national championship tournaments.
