1977 Division III men's basketball tournament

Rick White scored 26 points and Wittenberg shot 72 percent from the floor as the Tigers defeated Oneonta State 79-66 for the 1977 Division III men's basketball national championship. Wittenberg avenged its loss to Scranton in the 1976 title game by beating the Royals in overtime in the national semifinals.
