1976 Division III men's basketball tournament

Scranton needed overtime to beat Wittenberg and win the 1976 NCAA Division III men's basketball national championship. The game was tied 51-51 at the end of regulation before tournament Most Outstanding Player Jack Maher scored five unanswered points in the first two minutes of overtime to put Wittenberg away.
