Meisenheimer, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team secured its first USA South win of the season with a 71-66 victory over Pfeiffer. Senior Nadia Simmons led the charge, contributing eighteen points and eight rebounds for the Bishops. She shot 7-11 from the field and converted 4 of 6 free throws to improve Wesleyan to 1-1 in league action.

Forward Anaya Hall also had a strong performance, adding eleven points and eight rebounds. Hall made five shots on the night, continuing her impressive season at forward. Sophomore guard Harmony Martin reached double figures for the first time this year, scoring ten points and knocking down 2 three-pointers.
Wesleyan dominated inside, outrebounding the Falcons 41-27 and scoring 42 points in the paint. The Bishops also had one of their best shooting performances of the season, hitting nearly 43% of its field goals while holding Pfeiffer to just 26% shooting. NCWU's stifling defense forced the Falcons into 20 turnovers and only 26 points in the paint.
