Women's Basketball Establishes New Program Record With 18th Straight Win

Castleton, Vt.—Fifth-year forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) scored a game-high 18 points, while also recording six rebounds and five steals, as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated VTSU Castleton, 92-42, in a Little East contest on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Graduate student guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass.) scored 10 of her 16 points in the first quarter to help the Anchorwomen build a 27-9 lead.
 
• RIC would continue the onslaught by going on a 20-0 run to start the second quarter. Junior forward Maggie Schwab (Saunderstown, R.I.) would score the last six points of the stanza to help the Anchorwomen to take a 38-point, 55-17, lead into halftime.
 
• A pair of three-point shots by junior guard Jayda Bing (Hamilton, N.J.) would give the visitors a 73-33 lead by the end of the third frame.
 
• The win was the 18th in a row for the Anchorwomen, which surpassed the 2011-12 edition's previous high mark of 17.
 
• It is the third time this season that RIC has won a game by 50 or more points.
 
• RIC finished with five different players scoring 10 or more points.
 
• Junior forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) and fifth-year center Neleesha Meunier (Leominster, Mass.) each netted 14 points on the day. Schwab racked up 10 points and two boards in just eight minutes.
