Elizabethtown's Cyleigh Wilson sets program, Landmark Conference single-game three point record in win

PHILADELPHIA -- Senior Cyleigh Wilson made it a day to remember for the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team in their game at the Palestra on Sunday against Goucher. Wilson hit nine threes to break the program and conference single-game records. She finished with a career-high 29 points for Etown in the 84-34 win.

Wilson came in ready and was hot from the start. She unloaded for six first-quarter threes as Elizabethtown (11-4, 7-1 Landmark) raced out to a 31-8 lead after one. She'd have 23 by halftime, outscoring Goucher on her own, 23-18. Allyia Kennedy added eight first-half points for the Jays as they led 46-18 at the half.

After seven threes over the first two quarters, Wilson would tie the school's record in the second half and later in the fourth, from the far wing, drained her ninth of the game.

Jessica King and DaniRae Renno each grabbed nine rebounds apiece as Elizabethtown finished with a 54-28 advantage on the glass.

Ellie Fasick used her size to her advantage, leading the bench scoring with 12 in the game on 6-for-7 shooting. The Blue Jays were plus-34 in the paint, 42-8 and their 17 offensive rebounds led to 18 second chance points.

Summer McNulty added 11 points for the Jays as three were in double figures to get their fourth straight Landmark win.

Elizabethtown will host Drew on Wednesday, January 17, at 7 p.m.
