Providence, R.I.—Fifth-year forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) scored 14 points and corralled nine rebounds as No. 4 Rhode Island College defeated UMass Boston, 90-40, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A three-point shot from fifth-year guard Olivia Middleton (Barrington, R.I.) helped the Anchorwomen build a 16-2 lead after the first quarter.
• RIC would start the second quarter going 4-for-4 from three-point range to take a commanding, 42-14, lead going into halftime.
• In the second half, the Anchorwomen would continue to press the attack, with three-point shots coming from Booth, junior guard Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) and freshman guard Maggie McKitchen (Seekonk, Mass.).
• Graduate guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass.) recorded 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals in the victory.
• Fifth-year guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) finished with nine points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals. Middleton rounded out the host's contingent in double-figures with a 12-point effort.
• RIC's intense defense forced the Beacons into 21 turnovers on the day.
• The 50-point margin of victory was the most for the program since RIC bested Bard, 81-16, on Nov. 20, 2021.
