COACH JON GIN'S COMMENTS

  • We gave a gutsy effort. We couldn't hit anything, but we found a way to win. If you want to be a good team, you've got to find ways to win, even when your jump shots aren't falling. I think we learned a lot about ourselves and how our defensive intensity can carry us in stretches.
  • I can't say enough good things about [Tuesday's] point guard play. Sydney Sierota with a historic triple-double was everywhere. Brynn Beard dictated the pace on offense and not only created open shots for her teammates, but hit huge shots for us. Katie Tatum was instant offense off the bench and frustrated their ball handlers all night. It's amazing to see all their hard work pushing each other in practice pay off in a big way.
