The Basics:

How it Happened:
- Albright jumped out to an early 6-0 lead that was capped off by a Mackenzie Dover mid-range jumper with 8:13 left in the first period.
- The Yellow Jackets answered with a 12-0 run that lasted until the 5:15 mark of the first, Catherine Kagey (Roanoke, Va./Faith Christian) hit back-to-back shots during the run to give RMC a 12-6 lead.
- The Lions ended the final five minutes with a 10-2 run that was capped off by Orianna Edmond knocking down back-to-back two point jumpers. Albright took a 16-14 lead after one period.
- Randolph-Macon started the second period on fire, going on a 10-0 run that lasted four minutes. Morgan Miller (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) accounted for five of the ten points on the run to jump RMC back to a 24-16 lead.
- Juliana Park (Fairfax Station, Va./Davidson Day) knocked down a three-pointer at the 2:23 mark of the second period to give the Lemon and Black their biggest lead of the first half at 34-20.
- The Lions received five straight points from Kenedy Cooper, that capped off a 7-0 run to end the first half, to cut the Randolph-Macon lead to 34-27 at halftime.
- The Yellow Jackets broke through offensively in the third period, out scoring Albright 26-11. RMC went 10-for-14 from the field (71.4%) and two Park free-throws with under ten seconds left gave Randolph-Macon its biggest lead of the night 60-36.
- Albright tried to make a fourth period comeback, out scoring RMC 26-12 and shot 60.1% from the field, but multiple Yellow Jacket free throws were able to ice the game away. Randolph-Macon took home its first win of the season, riding a hot third period to defeat Albright College 72-64.
Inside the Numbers:
- R-MC shot 41.9% from the field and 30.8% from the charity strike. They also outrebounded the Lions 37-32.
- Kagey notched her first double-double of the season, leading the team in points with 15, grabbing 11 rebounds. The senior also recorded four assists and three steals.
- Park knocked down a trio of three-pointers to end the night with 13 points. The junior moved past Kelsey Wisner '19 for tenth in career three pointers made with 100.
- Sam Smith (Chesterfield, Va./St. Gertrudes) notched her first double digit scoring game of her career with ten points, while dishing out four assists.
- Marisa Ziegler (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) scored 13 points, pulled down three rebounds and had three assists.

Randolph-Macon will be back in action tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. to take Gallaudet University to complete the Renie-Amoss Tip-Off Tournament.
