Senior guard/forward Isabella Mills set a new program record with 10 three-pointers, and notched a career high 34 points, leading the Case Western Reserve University women's basketball team to a 74-64 win over Washington University in St. Louis on Friday night at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland.

Mills broke the previous record of seven set by herself last season and former Spartan Mary Herendeen on January 27, 2008, against the University of Rochester. Mills tied the University Athletic Association record with 10 three-pointers in a conference contest, previously done by WashU's Laura Crowley on February 21, 2003, against Carnegie Mellon.

As a team, CWRU broke a program record with 16 three-pointers in the contest, besting the previous record of 15 set on December 30, 2016, against Olivet. The team's 16 three-pointers are the most by the Spartans in a UAA contest, breaking the previous record of 14 set on February 25, 2017, against Carnegie Mellon.

Case Western Reserve improved to 11-4 overall and 2-2 in UAA play, while the conference-leading Bears fell to 10-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The win over WashU is the third straight for the Spartans over the Bears in Horsburgh Gymnasium.

Mills added 11 rebounds, four blocks, and one assist, registering her first double-double of the season and the eighth of her career. The senior shot 10-of-15 overall (.667) and 10-of-13 (.769) from beyond the arc. Junior guard Sarah Mitchell led the team with six assists and three steals, contributing five points, with junior guard Margaret Terry adding eight points and three assists.

The two teams battled in the first quarter; trading leads throughout the first six minutes of the game. With CWRU down 11-9, Mills and sophomore guard Lucy Vanderbeck made three-pointers to put the Spartans up 15-11 with two minutes left in the quarter. The Bears ended the quarter on an 8-0 run to take a 19-15 lead into the first intermission. Mills contributed 12 of the team's 15 points in the quarter, scoring nine and assisting on a three-pointer by Terry.

Mills tied the score at 21 two minutes into the second quarter with her fourth three-pointer of the contest. She made her fifth shot from beyond the arc with 6:24 left in the first half to give the Spartans a 25-23 lead. A three-pointer by sophomore guard Nyah Moore gave the hosts an eight-point advantage 31-23, their largest of the night up to that point. WashU scored five points in the final 49 seconds of the half to cut their deficit to two, 35-33, at halftime. Mills finished the half with 19 points on six-of-10 shooting from the field, collecting five rebounds and adding an assist.

The Bears took a 38-37 lead three minutes into the third quarter, but Mills' program record tying seventh three-pointer gave the Spartans a 40-38 lead with 6:51 left in the frame.

After the Bears tied the score at 40, a Vanderbeck three-pointer gave CWRU the lead again. WashU knotted the score at 46 on a three-pointer with 3:08 left in the quarter. Mills broke the single game program record on the next possession, making her eighth three-pointer of the contest with 2:41 left in the quarter, giving the team a lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the contest. The Spartans took a five-point lead, 53-48, into the final quarter.

An 8-2 run in the fourth quarter gave CWRU its largest lead of the night, 66-54, capped by Mills' conference-record tying 10th three-pointer of the night with 2:20 remaining in the contest. The Spartans made six free throws in the final minute to clinch the home win.
