How it Happened

  • Hood scored the first five points of the game to jump ahead early in the first four minutes. 

  • Savannah Wilson connected from behind the arc to give York (Pa.) its first lead of the game 12-11 with 2:55 left in the first. Bradi Zumbrum made two free throws with seconds left to put the Spartans ahead after one 16-14. 

  • Taylor Brenneman drove through the lane to score and gave the Spartans their biggest lead to that point 24-17 with 5:10 left in the second.

  • Tiffany Manning scored four quick points to reclaim the lead 31-28 with one minute left.

  • Alyssa Hocker knocked down a 3-pointer right before the first half buzzer to send both teams deadlocked at 31-31 into the locker room. 

  • The Blazers rattled of the first seven points of the third quarter to take a 38-31 lead with 6:05 left as Watkins-Harvey made two key lay-ups in the paint during the stretch.
