Gwynedd Valley, Pa.- Gwynedd Mercy University (7-7, 0-1) welcomed Immaculata University (6-6, 1-0) which not only was the first game to the start of their 2023 campaign but also the start of Atlantic East Conference play (AEC). The Griffins struggled offensively, scoring only ten points in the first two quarters, 13 in the third, and 16 in the fourth, amounting to a 74-49 loss. Senior guard Elise Sylvester (Pottstown, Pa.) finished 2-11 from the field with ten points, two rebounds, and three assists.

• Gwynedd Mercy as a team shot 17-69 from the floor. (24.6%)

• Junior guard Gabby Marinacci (Perkiomen Valley) came off the bench, had a team-high three threes (3-4), and finished with nine points. 

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to conference play Saturday, January 7th, when they travel to Marymount University for a 1:00 p.m. tipoff.
