NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's basketball team dropped a 63-48 final to Eastern Connecticut State University on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Luce Field House.
Anna Barry (Andover, Conn.) posted game highs of 18 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Warriors (4-2 overall) to their fourth-straight victory. Mariah Dunn (Meriden, Conn.) added 10 points while starters Danielle O'Brien (Rockland, Mass.) and Julie Keckler (Trumbull, Conn.) added nine apiece.
Aislinn McMahon (Andover, Mass.) came off the bench to net a career-high 17 points for the Camels. She shot 5-for-8 from the floor, knocked down three treys and added four rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes of action.
The score was even after seven minutes, but the Warriors closed the first quarter with an 8-0 run to open up an 18-10 lead. Eastern pushed the lead to double digits in the second period, as O'Brien supplied a pair of three-pointers en route to a 35-19 lead at the break. She led all scorers with nine points in the half.
The Warriors led by as many as 19 in the second half and never let the margin dip below double digits. Barry netted 12 points after the intermission and also added nine rebounds.
McMahon had the hot hand for the Camels in the second half with 15 points. Molly Cronin (Wellesley, Mass.) also scored five of her season-high nine points in the final quarter.
Conn College (1-4 overall) returns to action at NYU on Friday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m.
